Volunteer Defence Corps, he is

adduced

impressed by the arguments deduced

by the Governor in favour of refraining

from making any discrimination on racial

grounds in the rates of pay allowed to

local volunteers on mobilization, and

he trusts that the Army Council will

concur in the Governor's policy of

prescribing under Section 12 of the

Volunteer Ordinance rates of pay of a

non-differential character.
